New All-Boys School Launches First Fundraising Campaign to Better Milwaukee

Kingdom Prep Lutheran High School Raises Over $200K to Forge Ahead with Bold Mission

Wauwatosa, WI – Today, just three months since Kingdom Prep Lutheran High School (KPLHS) launched their “Fuel His Purpose” campaign, the new all-boys school in town has already raised over $200,000 and is on track to achieve another $50,000 by May 2022. Last summer, the school partnered with Savage to strengthen their brand and build a campaign that shares Kingdom Prep’s mission with a broader audience. Their mission? To build a brotherhood in Christ for lives of purpose, which will lead to transformational and sustainable change in the greater Milwaukee community.

KPLHS Director of Partner Development, Tom Keppeler states they are happy with the success of the campaign thus far, and have received numerous compliments from donors on the quality of the materials.

On the critical importance of the campaign, KPLHS Founder and Principal Kevin Festerling says: “We are doing something that’s never been done before. Raising funds through this campaign allows us to continue to pay our teachers and forge ahead to build a brand new high school. It gives us the courage to build a school that young men need.”

KPLHS credits the campaign’s success thus far to the following tactics:

  • Engaged with Savage to audit and strengthen their brand to include an in-depth look at market analysis, the competitive landscape, refining their existing visual elements, and building Brand Architecture to establish consistent and authentic messaging.
  • Collaborated with Savage to create a campaign true to their mission. “Fuel His Purpose” derives from the school’s mission to build lives of purpose through faith, service, experience, and brotherhood, while highlighting a point of difference that Kingdom Prep is an all-boys school.

KPLHS Co-founder and Assistant Principal Shawn Sprewer shares that the success of the “Fuel His Purpose” campaign will help them in their pursuit to ignite and sustain transformational change in the greater Milwaukee community. “The more exposure we have, the more people understand what we’re about,” says Sprewer. “This school is about helping these young men to be kingdom men. We’re breaking down barriers and building positivity.”
