Getting Into The Swing Of Things…Online! / Mark Wilson Golf
The Challenge:
Mark Wilson first started working with Savage Solutions in 2005 to create a brand and a presence online. Needing to boost this presence and will some new found fan fare due to two wins in the last three years on the PGA Tour, Savage Solutions was commissioned to develop the new Mark Wilson Website. More importantly, he wanted to be able to open up a line of communication with fans, sponsors and followers. Savage Solutions went to work developing a strategy to:
* Increase and create better search positions so that those searching for Mark Wilson would find his site
* Add an opportunity for Mark to send notes from the road and blurbs about what life is like on the road of the PGA Tour
* Include a social media portal to allow fans to interact with Mark
The Tactics:
Savage began a natural search engine optimization (SEO) program and assisted in a major overhaul of Mark Wilson’s online presence. Savage launched this site with video and photo galleries as well as updated results and a schedule of where Mark will be playing throughout the year. We will also be doing a video blog from Mark as he travels from city to city on how he prepares both physically and mentally for each and every tournament stop.
The Results:
* From May of 2005 through May of 2009, Mark’s website traffic has grown 45% in terms of pageviews and 65% in terms of users
* Top-ten search positions for Mark Wilson Golf
* Facebook Fan pages and Twitter pages to keep fans and followers updated from the road
